Grants
The Pacifica Radio Archives has completed a critical phase of our long-term Preservation & Access Project. Go to our Preservation Projects section to browse through the list of restored audio, review descriptions of programs produced by the Archives, read full transcripts of some of the preserved tapes, browse and search through several historic station program guides, and make use of technical reports written by expert consultants.
Preservation & Access Project at the Library of Congress
Brian DeShazor (director of the Archives) and Adi Gevins (coordinator of the PRA Preservation and Access Project) were invited to testify before the National Recorded Sound Preservation Board of the Library of Congress on November 29. The topic: the state of sound preservation in America. Their presentation was featured later that day on Pacifica stations nationwide. Listen to or read [PDF] the testimony.
