Emma Goldman: The Courage to Struggle
Description
Biographical documentary about Emma Goldman, a feminist who advocated free speech, birth control, and women's equality in the first half of the 20th century. Comprised of interviews with Dr. Candace Falk, editor of the Emma Goldman Papers; Mollie Ackerman, Goldman's personal secretary; Ora Robbins, whose family provided a home for Goldman while Robbins was a teenager; and Roger Baldwin, founding member of the ACLU and friend of Goldman. The program also features readings from Goldman's writings by Judi Bari, Chinosole X., and Michelle Shocked. Produced and hosted by Tish Valva.
