Love, Anarchy, and Emma Goldman
Description
Candace Falk, author of "Love, Anarchy, and Emma Goldman," discusses her research based upon newly discovered letters between Goldman and Chicago political activist Ben Reitman. Goldman, a Soviet dissident deported from the Soviet Union in 1919, had studiously evaded her relation with Ben Reitman when writing her autobiography "Living My Life." Falk focuses upon the ten year relationship between Reitman and Goldman, and how their personal and political lives became intertwined. Interviewed and produced by Laurie Edesky.
