Sound of Soul Adopt-a-School

At the last Sound Of Soul Party we raised enough money to preserve over 82 programs, 100 hours of rare, never-before-heard African American audio tapes including those by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Alice Walker, Langston Hughes, Nelson Mandela, James Baldwin, Rev. Ralph Abernathy, Diahann Carrol, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Angela Davis, Esther Phillips, Audre Lorde, Gwendolyn Brooks, Dick Gregory, Miles Davis, Lorraine Hansberry, Dorothy Dandridge, Muhammed Ali, June Jordan and MORE...

Allee’s own Mumford High in Detroit was the first high school to receive this historic collection. Since then over 1500 schools are in possession of these historic recordings.

Each Rib By Rib, Full Rack and Whole Pig donation will be sent in your name to the High School, College or University Library of your choice. You’ll receive a confirmation letter once the school receives your gift.
