Victor Marchetti was a high ranking CIA official who resigned and criticized the agency. He discusses his novel “Rope-Dancer” which was published in 1971. The novel is about a high ranking agent who goes to work for the Soviet Union and presents a realistic portrait of life at the CIA headquarters in Virginia.

Marchetti discusses the CIA’s role in foreign and domestic affairs, and what it is like to work in the organization.
