The program consists of a series of segments against the death penalty with speakers from Death Penalty Focus and Amnesty International. The rally was prompted by the stay of execution of Robert Alton Harris by Federal Judge Noonan of the Ninth District Court. The rally proposed the death penalty was wrong because it bruatlizes society and human beings, it does deter the type of crime it is suppossed to do, and it can transform human error into irredeemable tragedy.
