Cook tells of an experience he had at the Marin Civic Center on June 3, 1971, and then discusses his relationship with Ruchell Magee and his work on Magee's defense committee for the trial Magee is on with Angela Davis in connection with the escape attempt and shootout at the Marin Civic Center. Cook also describes the characters of and his relationships with Soledad Brother George Jackson and his younger brother Jonathan P. Jackson.
