In December 1968 and January 1969, the WBAI Public Affairs Department produced a timely series titled Abortion. It was a five-part series of programs produced by Kay Lindsey and moderated by Lucinda Cisler and James Clapp, both of whom were members of the New York chapter of the Abortion Committee of the National Organization for Women and of the Public Education Committee of Parents' Aid Society. The series was timely because a bill to repeal New York's anti-abortion law was to be introduced in the Assembly in January 1969.
Episode 1 is unknown, although it might have been BB3866.03 "The psychology of birth control and abortion," which was actually the third episode in the series "Women". Episode 2. Abortion : inside and outside the hospital / Dr. Bernard Nathanson and Dr. W.J. Bryan Henrie (62 min.) -- Episode 3. Abortion referral services and woman's rights (58 min.) -- Episode 4. Recent studies in the psychology of abortion (59 min.) -- Episode 5. Abortion laws : the courtroom and the legislature / Ruth Cusack, Roy Lucas, Lucinda Cisler, and James Clapp.
