Talks by Linda Gordon and Jean Tepperman. Gordon is an historian teaching at the University of Massachusettes and is writing a history of the birth control movement in the U.S. Tepperman is a high school teacher. Both were members of Bread and Roses, a Boston Women's group. They traveled to China in December, 1972. The talk covers marriage, divorce and the position of women in China since the Revolution up to and after the Cultural Revolution. They discuss the means by which women were organized and the pros and cons of an autonomous women's movement.
