Kate Millett, lesbian-feminist, sculptor and author of Sexual Politics, gives a brief history of the gay movement during this address at the Gay Academic Union national conference in November 1978. Millett was the keynote speaker at the conference. In her talk she describes gays and lesbians of the present moment as being "second-wave," and elaborates on the pre-Stonewall history of homosexuality. Produced by Helene Rosenbluth.
