Description:

Talk by Geshe Gyeltsen on developing Bodhicitta in Manhayana Buddhist practice. He discusses the smaller capacities of solitary Arahats, the nature of Karma, the 12 links of dependent arisings, Klesa mental obstructions to the path of omniscience, alternative paths as only preparatory for Mahayana Bodhichitta realizations, Atisha's views on yoga, and Bodhichitta being the father of emptiness. As the foundation of all Buddhist practice, Bodhichitta (mindfullness and wisdom) is superior to mantra, vows, and other Dharma teachings. It leads to placing the greater good of society above oneself, and the development of Great compasion through the transformative force of self purification. Includes examples of various Tibetan tautric adepts.
