Phone interview with the co-author of "L.A.'s Secret Police : Inside the LAPD Elite Spy Network." Rothmiller, with the help of former journalist Ivan Goldman, has written a book tracing the inner workings of the OCID (Organized Crime Intelligence Division). He traces his own exit from the Department, how the LAPD has subsequently targeted his house and life for harassment, and the history of the Department conducting these types of activities. Rothmiller, while supporting new Police Chief Williams, fears his outsider status will keep him from instigating real reform.
