Dr. Clark starts by recounting his visit to the 1939 Chicago Worlds Fair, his personal search for meaning in African history, the difficulties in uncovering Black history, and his luck finding teachers. He goes on to trace changes in the Harlem Study Club, new views of Egypt and Ethipia, and the differences between being spiritual and religious.
