Description:
(50 Minutes) Yip Harburg Special A tribute to blacklisted lyricist Yip Harburg, who wrote lyrics to thei Wizard of Oz and classics such as Brother Can You Spare a Dime. Born into poverty on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Yip always included a strong social and political component to his work, fighting racism and poverty. A lifelong socialist, Yip was blacklisted and hounded through much of his life.
