Description:
Panel discussion which contrasts nonviolent action and passivity. The Panel features Roy Kepler, former National Secretary of War Resistance Leage, and Ira Sandperl, creative writing teacher. They point out that nonviolence has little to do with being passive, and that the goal is love. They evaluate if the nonviolence movement has come to an end, the danger of repressing hostility, how nonviolence has been linked to communism, and present examples of nonviolence from around the world. They conclude by highlighting both the physically and pyschologically destructive nature of violence.
