Audio file QC (Pass One) notes:
Hiss. Content: At 41:28, they play a tape of an interview with Dr. Robert Neuwirth, head of gynecological endoscopy at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Neuwirth, along with Dr. Melvin Cohen of Chicago pioneered laparoscopic (sp. confirmed) sterilization in the United States. Neuwirth, however, is solely responsible for having developed hysteroscopic (sp. confirmed--technical term for getting your tubes tied) sterilization, a still newer and simpler technique, which will be described. At the time of the interview, the procedure was no longer experimental, but it was also just in its infancy and not widely available nationwide. No outro.
