Her books of poems include Vertical Horizontal, Book One, and her most recent manuscript, Chalk. Lauterbach reads are The relinquished, Words to assuage, The day after, Gramercy Park evening, and others. Produced by Susan Howe, with technical direction by Dave Marx at WBAI in NYC. Funded by a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts.

Ann Lauterbach grew up in NYC and lives here now. She majored in painting at the High School of Music and Art and later did graduate work at Columbia. She has been an art critic in both England and America. She taught at St. Martin's School of Art in London and was the director there of the literature program at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, also editing the Institute's event sheet. In New York she taught at the School of Visual Arts and last year was the director of the Max Protetch Gallery. Ann Lauterbach's work has appeared in numerous magazines, among them The Little Magazine, The Poetry Review, ZZZ, The Partisan Review, Heresies, and Roof 2. Her books of poems include Vertical Horizontal, Book One, and her most recent manuscript, Chalk, is presently under consideration. Lauterbach's work is also included in an anthology called "Americans Abroad," published in Rotterdam by Cold Turkey Press. This program was produced by Susan Howe, with technical direction by Dave Marks at WBAI in NYC. It was funded by a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts.
