Leon Bing, former model and writer on gang life for the L.A. Weekly and Harper's Magazine, discusses her exploration of gang life in South Central Los Angeles with Karole Selmon. She discusses the Crips and the Bloods, her personal relationships with some of the family members, the origins of gang activity, and the continuous spread of gangs to other communities - even to other states.
