KPFA Folio notes: The history of discrimination in the application of such protected rights as freedom of speech, movement and ownership of property and a discussion of the process by which people are accepted or rejected as citizens. Such diverse issues as reparations for United States citizens of Japanese ancestry incarcerated during World War II and the social and political problems caused by the sudden influx of refugees from Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean are also discussed. In recent years, religious Sanctuary movement workers have come under fire from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), bringing international law into the discussion of the Bill of Rights.
