This is a recording of members of the Unlearning To Not Speak Collective reading excerpts from the book "Sister of the Road," by Bertha Thompson, published in 1937 and out of print at the time the program was created. Bertha told her story to Dr. Ben L. Reitman, who wrote the introduction. The book describes socialist camps, boarding houses, prostitution, and social change.
