This program uses cuts from the record "Is Freedom Academic?" created by KPFA in late 1964, which features recordings of the rally and sit-in at Sproul Hall, faculty press conference, meeting of the Academic Senate, and statements by Free Speech Movement leader Mario Savio. This retrospective also includes pre-recorded songs of the period, and a contemporary interview with Bettina Aptheker regarding her memories of the time.
