Guns

Program Title:
Guns
PRA Archive #:
AZ0455
Description:

Dealers, marksmen, and enthusiasts reveal the world of guns.

Note on box: In interviews with gun dealers, marksmen, enthusiasts, and some nuts, the producers attempt to gain some sympathetic insight into a world hitherto closed to them, the world of guns. The style of the presentation is non-polemical, examining such questions as guns and self-defense from the point of view of the gun-owner, in order to discover the kind of person who owns guns, and why.

In the process the program also discusses such technical features of guns as caliber designations, revolvers versus pistols and other details of interest to the uninitiated who may wish to know more about guns themselves.

Produced by John H. Rieger with Peggy Bray, Bahman Samiian and Erik Wood.
