Description:

Talk on the conflicting strategies for the air defense of England during World War II.|THE POLICY CLASH / Charles P. Snow. - SERIES: Science and Government| no. 2. Sir Henry Tizard and F.A. Lindeman (Lord Charwell), former friends, differed sharply over how Britain should defend herself from air attack. Tizard wanted top-priority development of radar while Charwell argued for infra-red detection and "aerial mines".
