Series originally recorded by KPFA in 1949. Jaime de Angulo, an anthropologist and linguist among his many accomplishments, became familiar with the oral traditions of the Pit River Indians of Northern California. The year before his death he broadcast the mythic origin cycle of those Indians. The recordings have been restored to their original form.
