This is part one of a performance which was presented live in Studio C at WBAI in November 1972. In Part One, David Shapiro plays the violin and reads his poetry and that of his young students from Bedford-Stuyvesant. In Part Two, Rosalyn Drexler sings torch songs from the 1920s and 1930s, and reads excerpts from her novels. Mimi Anderson gives the introduction, and is the producer of the program.
