In this episode we will hear an interview and performance done at KPFK in Los Angeles with with musicologist Dr. Ora Williams, professor at Cal State Long Beach who has published American Black Women in the Arts and Social Sciences: A Bibliographic Survey (Scarecrow Press, 2nd ed. 1978). Later Jeannie Pool interviews concert pianist Virginia Eskin about composer Amy Marcy Cheney Beach (1867-1944).
