Tape box note: Pam Burton on KPFK's Pacifica Radio Archive Hour program pays tribute to William Malloch, long time Pacifica programmer who has just died of cancer. Two of Malloch's programs are played: 1) Through life with Mack the Knife (Bertold Brecht) [KZ1790] and 2) The will of the minority (Chicago demonstrations in 1968) [BB4764].

The Los Angeles Times obituary for William Malloch states that in addition to being the music director of KPFK, he also taught music at UCLA, was the former artistic director of the Ojai Music Festival, and was music director of the Mahler Society of California for more than 15 years. Malloch passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 1996.
