Hiss on intro and outro. Buzz, hiss on recordings from panel. The levels on the mics were hot, so there's a lot of distortion from that on some speakers.
This looks like it's a dub of another tape, which I think I found on the shelf. The sound on this is pretty bad, but I think it's in the recording. Use duplicate box, though, for richer metadata than what's found here.
Intro: The following is the second in a series of programs on socialist feminist theory, recorded at the First National Socialist Feminist Conference held in Yellow Springs, Ohio over July 4th weekend. That conference was attended by over 1500 women from all over the country. Tonight's program is a recording of the Third World Panel presented at the conference. Next week, on August 21st at 7:30 we'll be playing the lesbian panel, followed on Thursday, August 28th by the presentation on women and the economy. We regret that because of limited staff and facilities, we were only able to record the major panel discussions presented during the weekend conference. Outro: Panelists were Marietta of the Latin Women's Collective presenting the statement from the Latin women at the conference; V (B?) aina Shabazz from Youth Against War and Fascism with a statement from the Black Women's Caucus; Bettita Martinez speaking on Chicana struggles; Digne Sanchez of the Puerto Rican Socialist Party; and Penny Chin of Worker's Viewpoint, presenting the statement from the Asian women.
