Description:
Interview with local author and prison activist Margaret Shedd (interviewer not identified in program or on reel box). Born at the turn of the century, Margaret talks informally about her life, writing, and women's writing in general. Includes a short reading from one of her latest books, "Malinche and Cortés," about the relationship between the conquistador Hernán Cortés and his mistress, the Nahua woman known as La Malinche, whose name in Spanish means "treason."
