Women and guns / Paxton Quigley and Sunny James ; interviewed by Jude McGee.
Paxton Quigly, author of Armed Female, and Women and Guns magazine published Sunny James, discuss how women can defend themselves with firearms. Quigley explains why women should carry guns, and how the rape of a friend converted her from an anti- to a pro-gun stance. While guns do kill 35,000 annually, they also prevent 500,000 crimes without death. If a woman decides to acquire a firearm, then it is her responsibility to learn how to use it. James explains the positive response to her publication which has helped spread information about safe and effective gun use. Quigly and James then discuss the traditionally male dominated world of guns, but how they have made firearms part of the women's movement. Concludes with a listener phone-in segment.|WOMEN AND GUNS / Paxton Quigley and Sunny James| interviewed by Jude McGee.
