This program consists of scenes from the work of the French writer Jean Genet. They are originally from Caedmon recording #<a href="fullrecord.php?arc=TC1134." >TC1134.</a> The scenes were directed by Howard Sackler from translations from Bernard Frechtman. We begin with a scene from "The Blacks: A Clown Show," featuring Barbara Sassoon. The second is from "The Maids" with Brenda Bruce as Solange and Tarn Bassett as Claire. The third scene is from "The Balcony". Cast includes Ellen Webb as the General, Pauline Jameson as Irma, Wendy Craig as the Girl, and Nigel Davenport as the Executioner.
